The school are looking for an ambitious and dedicated teacher of Geography to join them in September for the entire school year, with the intention for it to become permanent.

**The school
The school is a medium-sized co-educational secondary school, which is extremely popular due to the hard work of staff to achieve excellent GCSE results, and the commitment to produce well rounded students who are best prepared for their next stages in life.The school has a most recent Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ and are looking for a Geography teacher to join their team to continue excelling all expectations.

The school is located in Heywood, Rochdale and is easily accessible either by car or public transport from nearby areas such as Oldham, Bury, Bolton, Manchester and Tameside.

**The role
Under the guidance of an exceptional HOD, you will help to plan and deliver engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4 pupils of mixed abilities. You will set and mark homework to classes in relation to the schools’ marking policies.

You will help students prepare for their upcoming examinations and monitor any areas they may be struggling and create action plans with the relevant members of staff to ensure they reach their full potential.

**Requirements
- Hold QTS
- Experience teaching Geography up to GCSE level
- Good grasp of the current curriculum
- Experience teaching other areas of humanities (desirable)
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- DBS certificate
