The role is based in Edinburgh city centre and is paying £43,000 - £47,000 per annum including benefits. **The Company** This company is a global player that has grown substantially over the past 10 years due to both organic growth and M&A activity. The next 12-24 months will be considered a period of consolidation as it looks to stable its platform before once again lookingto grow and expand through further corporate development. Due to the size of the business and finance team, it provides the ample environment for career progression & development. Furthermore, it has an extremely talented finance leadership team that are so passionate about ensuring everyone reaches they full potentialso pride themselves on constantly acting as role models and mentors to their people. The successful individual can come from an industry or practise background (first-time movers will be considered). They must have experience of group accounting - either in a hands-on or audit capacity. Moreover, they must be able to handle and manipulatelarge data sets effectively. **On Offer**The role of Group Reporting Accountant is based in Edinburgh city centre, in one of the city’s prime office locations. The business has committed to hybrid working (3/2). The role will offer: - £43,000 - £47,000 base salary - Bonus - Excellent pension & holidays - A range of other company benefits & perks - Flexible and hybrid working You will be involved in but not restricted to: - Responsible for controlling UK and Group balance sheet reconciliations as part of the financial accounting subteam, ensuring all deliverables are consistently met - Preparing, coordinating, and challenging legal entity balance sheet reconciliations - Preparation and validation of monthly group foreign exchange revaluations - Ensuring all balance sheet accounts and inter-company balances are routinely reconciled and fully substantiated - Supporting on various balance sheet projects following a major software implementation. - Majorly contribute as required towards revamping working papers, balance sheet controls, processes, and existing financial models around the new software - Working with group and local finance teams to resolve historic issues and substantiate legacy general ledger balances for legal entities particularly relating to intercompany - Preparation of group balance sheet reporting and commentary - Routine reconciliation of sub-ledger control account balances to the general ledger - Preparing month end journals in conjunction with the wider group accounting team - Preparing annual financial statements and applicable notes in accordance with FRS102 - Supporting the Group Statutory & Financial Accountant to co-ordinate and prepare consolidated statutory financial statements for the Group and UK LLP - Taking a lead role on the statutory audit ensuring all deliverables and deadlines are met - Co-ordination and delivery of interim and final work-in-progress valuation exercises - Liaising with global finance teams to ensure timely coordination and completion of tasks - Actively contribute towards the achievement of wider finance team deliverables and continuous improvement of internal processes - Supporting the team as required, providing cover for team members in times of absence - Have a full understanding of all procedures and systems in place - "roll sleeves up" and help the team when necessary - Maintaining good relationships with other departments in the business To be considered for this role you must: - A Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA) - Have experience of group accounting - Have experience of working efficiently with large data sets - Have an ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels - Having a willingness to be hands on with all aspects of the role Please get in touch with Jack Ramage for a private and confidential discussion if you wish to find out more.
