Title: Night Porter

Reports to: Assistant Night Manager/Night Manager

Our Night’s team can sometimes be the first point of contact for guests and therefore take the responsibility for that initial welcome, those all-important first impressions.

As Night Porter you are responsible for the hotel security and guest facilities as part of a night’s team between 11 pm and 7 am, when service is just as important. You will be calm and responsible and will be on the front line, ensuring standards are always maintained and providing the highest standards of guest service.

You’ll need to be calm and responsible as will be on the front line and you’ll need to be resourceful to resolve any guest or property-related situations that arise.

You must be self-motivated, have excellent people skills, be an effective communicator, and believe in delivering the best possible standards in guest service.

**Description of Duties**
- Directing night business and maintaining, reviewing, and preparing the coordination of daily business
- Updating booking confirmations and checking details and requirements
- Updating reservations, inputting cancellations and amendments, and making sure all bookings are accurate.
- Helping with night audit.
- Ensuring that unparalleled service is provided to guests throughout the night.
- Function room set up and clear down.
- Meeting room set up.
- Security walks in line with H&S policy
- Reporting of faults/findings in line with H&S policy
- Ensure all H&S is adhered to.
- Room service 24 hours.
- Bar service as required.
- Cleaning public areas.
- Set up of breakfast room ready for service.
- We may ask you to deliver on tasks that are not within this list but within your remit.

Pay: Up to £11.63 per hour
