Machine Operatives

**Full time / Permanent / Ref: MO/10/22**

**Location**: Maydown

- **Maydown - **Site operates between 7am and 6pm, shift pattern will be within these hours (one position available)

Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint a Machine Operative, in our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), at our RiverRidge site in** Maydown.**

**_ Roles and Responsibilities _**
- Operating various machines within the MRF to include mobile machinery, such as forklifts and loading shovels
- Report immediately any issues with machines to MRF Supervisor/Operations Manager
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations, and Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ensure all machines on site comply with the relevant Health and Safety standards and company standard operating procedures
- Ensuring the facility and its’ equipment is kept clean and tidy, with importance placed on housekeeping/cleaning throughout the shift (will include working at height)
- Any other duties as delegated by the MRF Supervisor/Operations Manager

**_Essential Criteria_**
- Must have a valid licence and experience of operating **one** of the following machines_: 360° excavator_, t_elescopic forklift, counterbalance forklift or loading shovel_
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to work well on own initiative
- Be self-motivated
- Ability to work well with others
- Flexible approach to work hours

**_Desirable Criteria _**
- Previous experience working in the waste industry
