Engine Tester/inspector

Have the ability to liaise with colleagues to determine what stage of testing is currently ongoing, and what tasks require carried out to ensure the safe and efficient running of the engine.
- Organise with the Test Facility Senior Inspector with regard to any other requirements during testing.
- Experience preferred in the ability to test the SGT-A35 Gas Turbine and the SGT-A20 to the OEM requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
- Be able to collate engine performance data in accordance with OEM test schedules.
- Manage and organise engine paperwork during the test.
- Be able to communicate with internal and external customers when required.
- Be able to install and remove the Gas Turbine in a safe manner.
- Carry out all pre-test requirements of a Test Facility, including the setting up of all plant equipment to ensure the test can be carried out.
- Assist in routine maintenance activities to ensure the Test Facility is kept to a high standard.
- Assist with troubleshooting that may be required during any phase of the test to ensure mínimal delay.
- Assist with calibration activities at the Test Facility.
- Assist with Test Facility and Test Systems development to meet current and future testing requirements.

**Core competencies/Technical requirements**:

- Good organisation and communication skills.
- The ability to work within a team to ensure all tasks are carried out effectively.
- Good knowledge of engine performance and integrity parameters.

**Experience**:

- Time served apprentice in relevant discipline.
- Experience preferred in Gas Turbine operation and performance.
- Experience preferred in calibration of systems within a Test Facility.
- Ability to interpret and follow test parameters and instructions.
- Troubleshoot in a logical manner.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
