Our setting is a place where creativity, curiosity, and individuality are celebrated. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Years Room Leader to join our friendly and dynamic team.

**The Role**

As an Early Years Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality early years education and care. You will lead a team of practitioners within your designated room, ensuring that all activities align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and support each child’s learning and development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and inspire a team of practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and experiences for children.
- Ensure the room is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress through observations, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and ensure all documentation complies with statutory requirements.
- Support the Nursery Manager in meeting regulatory and inspection requirements, including safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Mentor and support team members through effective delegation, training, and feedback.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the setting.

**About You**

We are seeking a passionate and proactive professional who can bring energy and creativity to our nursery setting.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:

- Level 3 or above in Early Years Education and Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience working in an early years setting, with a sound understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a child-centered approach.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusion practices.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the setting and children.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Experience with curiosity led learning
- Proficiency in maintaining digital learning journals or similar tools.

Pay: £11.92 per hour
