Our client has supported Airlines around the world for the last 55 years. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Compliance Monitoring Safety Officer, to work as a key member of the senior management leadership team.

**Summary of the role
The CMSO is accountable for the continuous monitoring of the QMS and the introduction of best practice to meet the Company’s specific requirements. The CMSO is accountable that all business processes are followed across the whole company.This involvesbut not limited to the day-to-day support to all departments to analyse performance and through practices such as RCCA change and improve processes to increase performance and maintain compliance.

The role is responsible for leading by example and providing support and advice to department managers, project teams and functional groups within the business, on all matters relating to compliance and quality management.
The position shall monitor and ensure that all regulatory and QMS processes are uphold and maintained at all times.

The role will also be responsible for the compliance within other departments of the business such as GDPR, IT, HSE.

**Responsibilities:
- All regulatory, legislative and compliance governance systems and business issues.
- Ensure that processes required for the Quality Management System are established, implemented and maintained.
- Ensure all internal audits are in line with the internal audit schedule.
- Participates in the development of operating goals of the business; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations.
- Provide statistical information to the Managing Director with regard to business compliance performance.
- Schedule review meetings on the status of the QMS with the local management team and follow-up on action items raised during the meetings.
- Develop, coordinate and implement along with management stakeholders new business improvements and practices.
- Maintain Company Quality approvals such as BSI 9001:2015
- Responsible for the introduction, implementation and delivery of new standards and approvals to support business growth and development of the company quality management system.
- Monitor safety management processes and determine their effectiveness in avoiding or managing risk management.
- Ensure satisfactory levels of document & record control.
- Introduce and maintain Health and Safety systems to ensure compliance such as Near miss and incident reporting.
- Leads the delivery of obtaining new OEM licenses as the company grows and develops.

**Essential duties:
- Monitor KPI’s these on a regular basis and communicate results to all employees on a regular frequency.
- Prepare and deliver various performance presentations, both internally and externally.
- Maintains a strong working relationship with the different departments and will consult them on day-to day basis in relation to compliance monitoring and maintaining company procedures.
- Coordinates the activities of the department ensuring that compliance and regulatory requirements are communicated across the business on a daily basis.
- Lead the Compliance and quality meetings as laid out in the company QMS.
- Reports monthly department performance internally.
- Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff, by conducting tests and various quality assurance checks.
- Monitoring all health and safety processes, checks and reporting is undertaken as stipulated in the company procedures
- Supporting the RCCA analysis and the NCR process.

**Education & Skills
- Degree preferred however not essential if experience is relevant to the role.
- Have experience of staff supervision and development.
- Able to motivate your team to ensure continuous development of sales and customer service provision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Knowledge of Engineering principles, techniques, systems, and standards.
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills, a positive and professional outlook and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Must speak, read and write English
- Knowledge and understanding of work processes, capacity planning, quality management and safety management systems and characteristics associated with an aviation manufacturing environment.
