1:1 Learning Support Assistant needed - Croydon - South London

A large and extremely well resourced primary school located in Lambeth are looking for a committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to start in September for the entire academic year

Are you a Psychology Graduate that is looking to build on their practical experience for a future MSc or Doctorate?

Do you have a particular interest in ASD and would like to support an Autistic boy in a Year 4 class for the entire academic year starting in September?

** 1:1 Support role with an Autistic boy in Year 3 class
** Ofsted - ’Good with outstanding features’ school
** £75 - £100 per day plus offset expenses
** 1:1 Learning Support Assistant position for the entire academic year

Found in Croydon, South London, this growing primary school has wonderful public transport connections via the over ground and bus routes a very short walk away. They cater for a culturally diverse catchment of pupils from a variety of different socio economicbackgrounds, which make this school a particularly stimulating and interesting environment to work in.

The SEN provision at the school is simply fantastic; the experienced SENCO ensures that every child has the same opportunities to develop and grow, and she invests a lot of time and effort with her TA and LSA’s. She ensures they have the right amount ofsupport to enable them to provide tailored educational programmes that will enable the pupil to progress both academically and socially.

The child is in a Year 4 class and he is generally quite a laid back child, however he can at times have the occasional outburst which requires a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant who is assertive, confident and consistent in their approach.

The SENCO is responsible for training and ensuring the successful Learning Support Assistant has a smooth and effective induction process.
