From a small, local manufacturer led business, IPN is now a brand led, £145m turnover business and one of the fastest growing in the total pet category.Our ambition is now to step change our category expertise and our engage with key retailer partners - to navigate from a small local supplier to a 3rd and highly trusted voice, able to provide the objective category leadership required by our customers. Through this IPN will win by gaining share as our customers grow and our brands win at the physical and virtual shelf.
**Training**:
The training period for this role is around 4-6 weeks and will take place at our North Wales location. All travel and accommodation costs will be covered by IPN, this will mean staying away from home four nights per week during the initial training period. Hours of work while training will be 6am-6pm Monday to Thursday, once training is completed you will move onto a rotational shift pattern of dayshift and nightshift.
**Key Accountabilities**:
*
Liaising with IPN Quality team for raw material reception and processing
- Recording of all parameters for incoming raw materials prior to process
- Processing of raw materials in line with IPN recipes
- Completion of documentation for process follow up sheets
- Collating of all data into PC database
- Ensuring all process parameters are in line with IPN recipes
- Collating of samples of finished product for further external analysis
- Working within a food grade environment as well as a factory
- Archiving of retained samples for shelf-life study and observation
- Liaising with procurement for raw materials and ingredients for weekly production schedule
- Finished goods; Quality records for sample analysis to be sent to external lab for analysis reporting and conducting assessments
- Adhering to all IPN Health and Safety standards
**Person Specification**:

Prior experience in the meat industry would be beneficial
- We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and good attitude
- Access to your own transport will be required, due to the location of our North Yorkshire site for training
- Computer literate - Operating computerised equipment and understanding basic knowledge of IT systems (MS packages)

What are we offering?*

Hourly Rate: *£11.73 per hour(£11.05 per hour + shift allowance)
**Hours**:12-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday - rotational dayshift and nightshift
**Pension Scheme**: NEST pension scheme Employee contributions 5% / Employer contribution 3%
**Holidays**: 25 days (Pro Rata) + Bank Holidays in lieu
**Other Benefits**: £1000 new starter bonus, progression within the company, free parking, tasty treats, discounted products, a dog friendly office, free hot drinks, paid sick pay and £100 per month to help with the increase in fuel costs. Training will be provided and expenses during the training period will be covered by IPN.
