Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer (Remote/ Hybrid

Our client has an exciting new opening for an **Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer** located at company global headquarters in Surrey**(hybrid/ remote working available).**
They are looking for an experienced person who can lead the AWS infrastructure for the in-house product development teams and champion further changes to improve the CI/CD pipeline. The role will work closely with the product development and production supportteams to ensure the AWS infrastructure supports the growing business needs.
**Responsibilities (but not limited to)**:
- Managing AWS infrastructure for Developers/ QA Testers
- Manage the implementation monitoring framework for our AWS production, development and test environments
- Championing improvements to infrastructure and Dev_Ops automation: Infrastructure as Code, Scripted server configuration, Containerisation
- Manage CI framework for Developers, QA Testers and Business Analysts
- Working with AWS cloud production support team to upgrade infrastructure components
**Skills and Experience**
- Operating Systems : Windows 2012+, including IIS (essential), Amazon Linux 2 (essential), other Linux variants (preferred)
- Continuous Integration: Jenkins (essential), GitLab(essential)
- Monitoring: Splunk (preferred)
- Scripting: Linux shell (essential)
**Other preferred skills;**
- Code analysis: SonarQube
- Mail: Postfix, Dovecot
- Server configuration: Ansible
- Antivirus and UAM: Sophos, ClamAV, Ekran
- As our SaaS product portfolio expands, we are likely to require skills in the following areas:
- Azure
- Infrastructure as Code : CloudFormation, Terraform, Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
**Location**
The role is based at the head office in Surrey, which is easily accessible by car or train. Flexible on working from home arrangements but staff might need to be in the office for 2-3 days a month, dependent on project / Line Management needs.
