PA Direct Hertfordshire is a network for Private Support Assistants, also known as Personal Assistants who may be available to support Direct Payment Holders. Our goal is to connect Direct Payment Holders (DPH) and Private Support Assistants in Hertfordshire to make it easier for you to access work and ensure the DPH can get the support they need quickly.

We are looking for people who are, or want to become a Private Support Assistant, to enrol with PA Direct Hertfordshire and be available for some work when a suitable position arises. Work will be available across Hertfordshire.

**What is a PA?**

A Private Support Assistant also known as Personal Assistant (PA) is not the same as a traditional Care Assistant. It is someone employed directly by a person aged 18+ who receives Direct Payments to meet their wellbeing outcomes. Those who need care and/or support are known as Direct Payment Holders or Direct Employers. Sometimes the ‘employer’ is a family member or representative of the person requiring support.

- Housekeeping
- Attending appointments
- Finances and paperwork
- Socialising
- Support at work or in education
- Personal Care
- Food preparation

There are many different hours available. Some PA's may work between school hours, or just evenings. Other PA’s are only available to do sleep ins or waking night shifts. The flexibility depends on you and the needs of the Direct Payment Holder.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Permanent
Part-time hours: 4-40 per week

**Salary**: £11.00-£16.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- No weekends
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only
