Are you passionate about Tea, would you like to be part of an expanding Company supporting the planning and forecasting of tea production. If you are, then we have the ideal role for you.We are looking to recruit a Demand Planner who will be based in the North East and will be responsible for planning and organising the supply of product through optimizing inventory investment and advising on production requirements as well as proactively communicating to the business to achieve customer service goals.
This role will act as the key interface between customer forecasting, planning and logistics within the supply chain to ensure maximum availability at optimised inventory and cost levels for current and future business requirements that deliver the financial targets in an effective and efficient manner.
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- Maintain and improve the safety, legality and quality of products manufactured in accordance with food safety and quality policy.
- Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
- Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization goals.
- Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customers reactions to the promotions and discounts
- Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends.
- Work with customers, sales team and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy.
- Maintain demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands
- Mentor and train other Planners as needed.
- Update Commercial and Customer service teams about product availabilities.
- Generating and analyzing reports from Customer websites - stock levels, EPOS sales etc.
- Utilising customer systems for demand plan.
- Maintain inventory levels based on future customer demands.
- Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Schedule monthly forecast meetings with all customers as required
- Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply.
- Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy
- Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.
**Skills Required**:
- An excellent communicator:
- Experience in a Demand Planner position - must be able to hit the ground running
- Proficient in Excel
- Highly analytical with an eye for detail under time pressure;
- Have a demonstrable track record of driving transformation and CI in the areas of demand and supply planning;
- Significant experience of Demand Planning and Inventory management principles across multiple stock locations;
- Able to adapt quickly to new challenges in a growing company;
- 2-4 years’ experience in a demand planning role;
- Commercial acumen;

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- An ability to work to deadlines
- A good team player, performs well within a team but can also work on own when necessary
- Good communication skills with all levels and all areas within the business
- A high level of attention to detail
This will be a day shift role working 37.5 hrs per week. The working hours will be mutually agreed.
