ROLE SUMMARY

The role of Materials Team Leader, based in depot warehouse, is to support the operations on depot through maintaining highly organised store systems and producing efficient accurate documentation.

This role is also a supervisory role to ensure day-to-day tasks within the Stores are being completed by the Material Controllers to the required standard. The successful applicant will report directly to the Materials Manager, working as part of a supportive and collaborative team on CAF's W&B Project in Chester.

We are looking for someone who possess excellent organisational, and communication skills. The successful applicant will be flexible in their approach and will be able to hit the ground running, using their own initiative with an ability to motivate others.

The salary for this role is £34,000 per annum based on a 37 hour week.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure all duties carried out by Materials Controllers are done so within the required time frame and to the required standard.
- To process all goods inwards and outwards (electronically and physically)
- Manage and process repairable materials and shipping documentation. The Team Leader will manage this process from start to end and ensure the rest of the team are processing NCR’s within the required time frame.
- Maintain material logs, system update and documentation, providing quality and accurate information
- Manage periodical stocktaking of materials and monitor the stock levels, and the GMAO system information to ensure that all data is accurate
- Place orders on the system to pre-approved suppliers to complete the process for NCRs
- Provide support and training as and when required about stores, logistics and CAF processes/system.
- Continually review stock holding levels and set minimum order levels based on stock availability, supplier lead times and consumption rates
- Support with the mobilisation of CAF stores at Machynlleth
- Fork Lift Truck support for both 175 & 197 fleets

REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILL
- English Language and Mathematics standard grade 3 or above (or equivalent).
- Full driving license
