HSB Technical is pleased to offer an opportunity for an Assistant Technical Superintendent - working for a well-established shipping company in Aberdeen.

The role is a unique opportunity to work with an expanding fleet of offshore support vessels in the North Sea.

As Technical Superintendent, the main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to assigned vessels to ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation.

The role will involve office-based reporting, budgeting, and planning with regards to the maintenance, repairs and dry docking of assigned vessels. Operationally you will have daily liaisons with, and be a technical expert when it comes to incidents, safety and training requirements on board.

Person specification:

- A minimum of a Class 2 Motor CoC
- Sea time on vessels associated with the offshore marine industry is preferred, i.e. ERRV/PSV
- Shore-based technical experience is desired but not essential
- Strict on safety policy and looking to drive safe practices across the fleet
- Excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
