Assistant Trader

A rapidly expanding family run company located on the outskirts of Woodbridge, Suffolk are currently recruiting for an Assistant Trader to join their team.

This is a permanent role, looking to pay between £24,000 - £30,000 per annum plus OTE.

**About the business**:
This company supply commodities globally, have been established for almost 50 years and have a fantastic reputation across the UK.

**Overview**:
You will be reporting into the Senior Trader daily, whilst buying and selling various commodities across Europe and beyond.

**What does the position involve?**
- As an Assistant Trader you will be looking at technical data to identify trading opportunities
- Purchasing raw materials from countries outside of Europe such as China
- International Shipping
- Domestic Haulage
- Buying and selling of commodities on different incoterms
- Pricing & managing risk across currency, supply and freight
- Business development and up selling to current accounts
- Liaising with customers daily and speaking with staff internally on a regular basis
- Degree within Finance, Business management, investment or similar
- Understanding of international trade documentation, GAFTA contracts and Incoterms
- Proficient user of all Microsoft programs
- Financially astute and strong communication skills
