**Job Title**: Claims Processor - Property Damage Specialist **Location**: Manchester **Salary**: Up to GBP £27,300.00 per year depending on experience **Hours**: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours per week) **Position Type**: Permanent, Full-Time (Hybrid 1 day in office) **About**: We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Claims Handler with a previous track record in the industry to join our growing and industry leading team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of third-party property damage claims. If you are passionate or experienced about claims handling and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you to take your career to new heights. **Responsibilities**: - Manage claims in line with Markerstudy philosophy, procedures, and service levels. - Adhere to authority limits, seeking manager authorization when needed. - Comply with all regulatory requirements, including "treating customers fairly." - Control costs by negotiating settlements and leveraging liability arguments. - Support the Team Leader by meeting objectives, KPIs, and SLAs. - Maintain accurate reserves, file discipline, and an effective diary system. - Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and partners. - Proactively manage personal training and development. - Perform general claims tasks as needed. - Follow company processes for FCA compliance and customer fairness. - Identify claims for proactive Third Party capture. - Suggest process changes for continuous improvement. - Refer market trends and behaviours for improvement. - Refer fraudulent claims, large loss claims, and ongoing loss claims. - Collaborate with suppliers to ensure customer service excellence. **Essential Skills and Experience**: - Working knowledge of Motor claims handling, including but not limited to Credit Hire, Property Damage, Indemnity, Liability, Third Party risks, and other associated claims activity. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Ability to manage and prioritize own workloads. - Willingness to develop self and new skills. - Good market knowledge and awareness. **Desirable Skills**: - Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (including "treating customers fairly"). **Benefits**: _company pension, sick pay, 25 days annual leave, store discount, wellness programme, life assurance and work from home option & more +Career Progression Opportunities_ **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: Up to £27,300.00 per year **Benefits**: - Canteen - Casual dress - Company pension - Flexitime - Free parking - Life insurance - Sick pay - Work from home Schedule: - Day shift - Flexitime - Holidays - Monday to Friday - No weekends - Overtime Supplemental pay types: - Bonus scheme - Loyalty bonus - Performance bonus Work Location: In person Flextime
