**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Deputy Head Housekeeper**

**Responsible to**: Executive Head Housekeeper

Head Housekeeper

**Resonsible for**: Hotel Housekeeping team

**Main duties, including the following but not limited to**:

- To ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the facilities and all accommodation demonstrating excellent competence in customer service.
- Covering the day to day running of the housekeeping department at the Crow Wood Hotel in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.
- Responsible for Hotel Housekeeping team
- Liaise with other Managers and Heads of Department regarding their requirements regarding cleaning, and performance levels.
- To be fully aware of laundry practices & procedures. This includes the control, delivery and collection of all table and bed linen.
- To train all the supervisors in checking all areas and delivering an excellent service.
- To deliver training for Supervisors and Housekeepers.
- To check on a daily basis in the absence of the Head Housekeeper staff requirements for the following days according to rooms sold. To try and cover all shifts in all areas.
- To deal with all staffing issues, sickness, holidays, grievance, and disciplinary procedures.
- To record and report all faults and damage arising.
- To maintain stock levels of equipment, consumables and chemicals
- To ensure all housekeeping equipment is used safely and effectively.
- To ensure on all occasions you observe safe and hygienic working practices in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation.
- To assist with the housekeeping operation as necessary, i.e. servicing of any areas where necessary.
- To record, report and process lost property according to procedures.
- To consistently deliver superior customer service
- To attend training when required
- To maintain health & safety in line with company policy and report any potential issues

All other duties as and when required.

Pay: Up to £29,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- supevisory: 2 years (required)
