Epr Configuration Specialist
There has never been a better time to join us as we embark on the next exciting phase of digital development with the introduction of a new electronic patient record (EPR). For the Trust, our EPR is much more than a digital version of written notes. It will bring about a transformation to the way we provide care to patients and we’re looking for energetic, forward-thinkers to join the team.
The Trust is already acknowledged as a pioneer in the delivery of digital healthcare, with its award-winning digital care hub delivering care round-the-clock care homes, prisons and people in their own homes.
We are seeking to appoint to two EPR Configuration Specialist roles for the EPR Workstream(s).
Airedale’s EPR Programme is a major transformation for the trust and the EPR programme team will work alongside the trust’s service and clinical teams to use the implementation as a quality improvement opportunity.
As a EPR Configuration Specialist you will develop the configuration of the EPR solution, supporting the creation of design, testing, delivery and adoption, ensuring it meets the needs of the workstream services. This will include in depth analysis of current working practices, including process mapping and policy analysis, working with the services and EPR supplier to develop the future state design and supporting build, testing, training and go live activities. You will provide solution expertise and maintenance for the EPR system and will be capable of providing 3rd line and service adoption support.
This EPR programme for ANHSFT will become a third Trust in the joint Cerner Millennium EPR system already in use at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust and Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust: Current functionality includes:
- Patient Administration,
- Accident & Emergency,
- Order Requesting & Result Reporting,
- Electronic Prescribing & Medication Administration,
- Clinical Documentation
- Health Information Exchange (providing information flowing from Primary Care, other secondary care providers, regional and place based health and care records from multiple providers)
- Clinical Decision Support
- Maternity (currently BTHFT only)
This role provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with our neighbouring trusts to learn from their implementation, work alongside their BAU EPR team and leverage the Airedale implementation to support optimising the instance.
For further information and full details of the job role please see the attached job description and person specification.
