Warehouse Manager

**Warehouse Manager -Abingdon Distribution Centre**

We are recruiting a Warehouse Manager to contribute to the success of the Abingdon site by ensuring all departmental requirements are met whilst delivering a high level of customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Overall Management of the Warehouse team
- Ensure all functions of the Warehouse operate within budgetary constraints
- Ensure all Warehouse procedures are adhered to
- Ensure any agreed KPI's are achieved
- Review labour within the team on a daily basis to ensure adequate resource is in place at all times both short and long term
- Ensure the personal development of the Warehouse team utilising the company values
- Actively participate in developing and promoting best practice within the network
- Maintain compliance to all audit requirements including stock control
- Liaise with suppliers and customers alike to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner
- Actively contribute to site/departmental development and improvement
- Ensure WH equipment is operated safely and within operational guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service in all areas
- Provide stock control cover and assist the stock control process

- Ability to manage and motivate people in line with the company values
- Strong people management skills
- Must demonstrate an ability to manage change and improvement programmes
- Commitment to continuous improvements and willingness to challenge status quo
- Drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Awareness and understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental priorities
- Awareness and understanding of Network/Supply Chain objectives and priorities
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Highly adaptable and able to prioritise involvement in a varied range of tasks whilst working on own initiative
- High levels of PC literacy
- Flexible to working hours required to complete the job
- Experience of a Unionised environment preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude towards Customer Service
- Must demonstrate an understanding of modern storage and distribution operations
- A Health & Safety qualification would be advantageous
- Counterbalance FLT Licence is required
- Reach truck licence is desirable
- Ability to shunt LGV delivery vehicles where required
- Must demonstrate a flexible attitude to work from other Greene King Distribution sites if required to assist network challenges
