**My client, a successful global consumer brand near Wrexham is recruiting an experienced Group Financial Controller to join their Finance team. Applicants must have extensive experience of working in a similar Senior Finance role, must have experienceof group consolidation and reporting across multiple businesses, ACCA or CIMA qualified then this is the role for you** You will be responsible for accurate reporting and management of day to day processes for the financial operations of UK and US Entity. Reporting to Group Finance Director, you will work closely with stakeholders throughout group of companies to improveprocesses and drive clarity within the businesses global reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Leading and coordinating day to day finance and accounting operations

Coordinating preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances

Weekly Cashflow forecasts

Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

Research technical accounting issues for compliance

Lead month-end and year-end close process under rigid timelines

Manage external relationships, accountants, auditors, bank

Oversee consolidation of group companies

Lead annual audit, working with external accountants and auditors

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Working closely with Heads of Departments to support clear reporting and financial objectives

Support and develop the finance department whilst managing a team

**Skills Required**:
ACCA or CIMA qualified /similar qualifications

Extensive experience of working in a similar Financial Controller role

Experience of group consolidation and group reporting across multiple businesses

5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

Experience with creating financial statements

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Experience of working in a b2c sector would be desirable

**Company Benefits**:
Salary up to £65k, depending on experience

25 days holiday, increasing to 28 days after 3 years service

Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm

Hybrid - 2 days at home, 3 in office (flexible)
