**Deputy Manager - Small Residential Care Home**

Blakely Scott are working alongside a valued client in their search for a Deputy Manager for a small residential care home for elderly residents in Bedford.
We are looking for a natural leader who has a strong background in working within elderly care homes, and who has a passion for delivering excellent care, to maintain the home’s Good CQC rating and great reputation in the local area.
**The Role**
- The role will include working closely with the Registered Manager, stepping up into Acting Manager as and when needed.
- You will ensure standards are maintained throughout the home
- Review care plans and risk assessments
- Manage staff of different levels and deploy efficiently throughout the home
- Work with Registered Manager on recruitment and inductions
- Establish strong relationships with residents and their families
- Support the Registered Manager in maintaining strong external relationships with Local Authorities, Councils and CCGs
**Essential**:
- Clear DBS
- NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care
- Relevant Deputy Manager or Team Leader experience in an elderly care home
- Ability to work to CQC guidelines and standards
- Flexibility when needed to cover on call / some weekend work
