**Responsibilities**:

- Plan stimulating and engaging activities in line with pupils next steps
- Create a safe and nurturing environment
- Understand and create a play based learning style, enabling pupils to learn through experience and exploration, 
- Support staff in delivering high-quality educational programmes tailored to pupils individual needs.
- Implement policies and procedures that promote the welfare and development of pupils.
- Maintain an engaging and safe environment for pupils, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
- Conduct regular assessments of pupils progress and development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
- Work in partnership with parents, other professionals and the school SENDCo to ensure pupils are being fully supported

Skills & Knowledge:

- Have a sound and current understanding of the EYFS
- Exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in an early years setting
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within an early years setting is essential
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding practices and regulatory requirements within the EYFS sector.

Qualifications:

- Completion of a full and relevant L3 or L5 Childcare qualification, e.g. Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Children’s Care, Learning and Development as recognised by the Department for Education (DfE), to be included in appropriate staff ratios.
- Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (or willingness to complete)
- Paediatric First Aid certificate, (or willingness to complete)

Our pupils have a range of challenges from moderate learning difficulties to social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and experience working with young people in this area would be advantageous.

You will be at an advantage if you have:

- Trauma Informed Practice
- Experience of emotional regulation e.g. THRIVE
- Previous experience with SEN pupils
