**About the role**

**What will you be doing?**
- Completing the UK monthly payroll (200 headcount) and US fortnightly payroll (15 headcount).
- Producing accurate and timely payroll data and information including new starters, leavers, overtime, absences, mileage claims and taxable benefits.
- Identifying, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Administering the group company pension, share options and benefits schemes including life assurance, group income protection, PMI and health cash plan, liaising with benefit suppliers and agents.
- Administering the US 401(k) and medical coverage schemes.
- Producing accurate and timely payroll journals and ledgers using the Sales Force accounting system.
- Reconciling payroll balance ledger, HMRC accounts and employee benefits.
- Submitting monthly subcontractor CIS returns to HMRC.
- Conducting payroll inductions for new starters.
- Compiling annual P11D expenses and benefits and submitting all HMRC statutory returns.
- Ensuring that all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- Dealing with internal and external payroll queries, resolving or escalating issues as required.
- Acting as payroll lead in project driven work.

**What we're looking for**
- An experienced Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroll Specialist with a background working with an external bureau.
- Experience of running multiple payrolls in the UK, with exceptional knowledge of current payroll related legislation, including HMRC legislation..
- Experience of Pension Auto Enrolment procedures.
- Payroll qualifications, e.g. CIPP or equivalent professional body, would be useful.
- Previous experience working with Salesforce would also be desirable.
- Experience of US payroll, benefits and associated legislations would be advantageous.
- Highly numerate, well organised, administratively strong with excellent attention to detail and strong IT skills
- Strong communication skills to assist with query resolution, and comfortable handling pay queries quickly and with sensitivity.
