**Role Overview**:
As a Childcare Apprentice, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced childcare professionals, allowing you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the field of early childhood education. You’ll assist with the care, learning, and development of children, all while working towards a formal qualification in childcare.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the daily care of children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
- Help plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities and play opportunities that support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
- Observe and record children's development and communicate progress to senior staff.
- Support the creation of a positive, engaging, and welcoming environment for children.
- Maintain hygiene standards, including assisting with toileting, handwashing, and meal/snack times.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the childcare facility.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with special needs or developmental challenges when required.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies, and contribute to a safe and secure setting for children.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Qualifications**: No prior childcare experience necessary, though any experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, volunteering) is a plus.
- **Skills**: A passion for working with children, good communication skills, and a caring, empathetic attitude.
- **Personal Traits**: Friendly, patient, and reliable. You should have a strong desire to help children grow and develop in a supportive and creative environment.
- **Additional Requirements**: Willingness to study and work towards a formal qualification in childcare (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare and Education). You should be prepared to undergo any necessary background checks.
