**The vacancy**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**: Design, implement, and continuously improve the curriculum for Adult Skills provision, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and national priorities.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of delivery and support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- **Quality Assurance**: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of adult learners.
- **Resource Management**: Manage the budget and resources allocated to the curriculum area, ensuring efficient use to maximise outcomes for learners.
- **Compliance and Reporting**: Ensure compliance with all relevant funding rules, policies, and procedures, and prepare accurate reports as required.
- **Student Support**: Develop and implement strategies to support student retention, progression, and achievement.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Level 5 or equivalent teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Proven track record of building productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in developing curriculum plans and managing a team.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience of management within adult education, including knowledge on funding.
- Understanding of quality assurance processes.
