A position has arisen for a temporary Assistant Buyer placed within a highly reputable Healthcare organisation situated in Norfolk. This role takes responsibility for all procurement activities, including contract administration, placing orders, administeringprocurement information systems as well as more general office functions for a contract length of 6 months with the possibility of an extension.
Your duties will include:
- Coordinating call-off orders, standing orders and services and maintenance orders
- Responding to customer enquiries on product details, availability, return
- Supporting individual tender processes by providing management reporting data on cost, past usage and forecasted usage
- Conducting regular contact with end users and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicating with colleagues across the business to keep them informed of procurement updates and progress on orders
- Placing orders up to £25,000 and prepare orders over £25,000 ensuring all relevant information and approvals have been gained before advising the Senior Buyer
- Must have previous experience carrying out similar duties within the public sector
