Mobile App and Digital Specialist

We are recruiting for a Mobile App and Digital Specialist to help to ensure that the charity serves supporters with excellence, delivering a best-in-class digital experience and achieve the strategic goal of seeing more than 200,000 children released frompoverty in Jesus’ name.

At the heart of the ministry is a relentless passion to act on faith and empower every child left vulnerable by poverty. The work is Christ centred, child focused, and church based.

**Position**: Mobile App and Digital Specialist

**Location**: Office-based in Fleet, Hampshire, with great flexibility for home working - it is expected that on average the role holder will be required to work / attend meetings in the office 4 times a month

**Salary**: £35,000 (within the grade £35,000 - £41,200)

**Duration**: Full-time

**Hours**: 35 hours (5 days) per week from Monday - Friday 9.00- 17.00.

**Benefits**: Enhanced pension scheme, non-contributory pension scheme (10% employer contribution), enhanced holiday allowance, all employees will be entitled to 5 normal working weeks’ annual leave a year, plus normal bank holidays, Private Medical Insuranceand Dental Insurance (on completion of probation period), Income Protection and Group Life cover.

**About the Role**

As the Mobile App and Digital Specialist, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the charity’s UK App, as well as being involved in the evolution and innovation of other digital products. This will include workingon myCompassion, the web-based supporter portal, to ensure an amazing and consistent cross-platform user experience.

As an active member of the Digital Projects Team, dedicated to facilitating long term digital transformation goals of the organisation, you'll help drive forward the delivery of new features and enhancements, that aim to exceed our supporters’ expectationsand support the strategic goals.

The role will involve input into the app development roadmap and ongoing marketing rollout plan to encourage the onboarding of new and existing supporters. You'll work with the Analytics Team and use data insights to support future development decisionsand testing opportunities, as well as reporting on the goals and KPIs.

You will use the AGILE Scrum framework to deliver many of the projects. Working through sprints you’ll be involved throughout the complete lifecycle, from requirement gathering through to release. This will include building stakeholder engagement, workingalongside our UX/UI designers, as well as being the point of contact for external developers as they develop solutions.

You’ll support and continue to build strong collaboration with teams across the charity, as well as key external suppliers, including developers, testers, content creators and UX/UI designers. Bringing your digital design and product knowledge you’ll participatein the user acceptance testing and frontend quality assurance to verify completion of work, error checking, gain sign-off from stakeholders, and to ensure the accuracy of the design. The role will also involve creating release plans and provide training tocolleagues, where necessary, to enable the successful releases of new products and services.

By doing this well, you’ll strengthen the digital offering, increase supporter engagement and delight, so that together the charity cab release even more children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
