**Due to internal promotions and expansion. We are looking for an experienced Cut & Crease Operator to join our high performing team in Gateshead.**

**Working pattern: -**
- Three 12 hour shifts per week - This includes days and nights, starting at 6am and 6pm, 6pm to 6am (continental).
- 36 contractual hours per week.
- Some overtime is available.

**Employee wellbeing **is important to us. As such, we offer an 8 day rest period after every 4th week on shift.

**Your key duties and responsibilities will include **(but are not limited to)**:

- Achieve daily, monthly and annual targets towards individual and department KPI’s
- Carry out all duties in accordance with quality and health & safety standards (BRC/IoP; ISO, OHSAS)
- Ensure conformance to customer audit requirements at all times
- Make ready and run the machines, following instructions given on the works orders regarding speeds and special instructions
- Carry out quality checks at pre-determined intervals throughout the running of the job
- Ensure machines are kept clean and tidy and that maintenance programmes are followed and documented.
- Maintain high health, safety and hygiene standards (BRC, ISO) etc. set for the area
- Perform any other duties as required/instructed by the Cut & Crease Manager, Operations Manager or Plant Manager
- **Essential Skills and attributes**:

- Experience of Bobst machinery (particularly 104/106) or similar manufacturing machines/environment
- Experience of blanking
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing, some other continuous improvement techniques
- Good communication skills, tenacity and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, with a positive, passionate attitude and ability to take responsibility
- Desire to succeed
- Good listener with the ability to quickly understand and deliver customer demands
- Good general educational standard

**Desirable skills and attributes**:

- Knowledge in the use of computers
- Competent in the use Avante and/or familiar with data input & retrieval from management information systems for use by self and others
- Standard production KPI’s (quality, run rate, downtime (%), make ready time (mins), operational average)
- Attendance & Timekeeping

**Salary**: Up to £35,000.00 per year
