Quality Manager

We are a family-owned company located in West Bromwich in the West Midlands. We are specialists in organo-sulphur synthesis and high-pressure hydrogenation supplying organic chemistry services to a global market in quantities from grams to multi-tonnes.We manufacture intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others and our team of chemists are experts in custom synthesis, contract manufacture and process optimisation.

A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Manager at our West Bromwich site. This is a dual role covering a small team in QC and QA manager for the company. The role reports to the Managing Director.

**Key Duties**
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the QC and QA functions.
- Maintain and improve the ISO9001 and GMP systems where appropriate
- Be the prime contact and guide for all site quality audits
- Provide technical guidance to our customers on our products and manage any specification queries

**Quality Manager Skills & Requirements**
- Chemistry degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years' experience in analytical chemistry GC/GCMS/HPLC in an industrial environment
- Good understanding of laboratory management systems i.e., COSHH, SDS databases, document control etc.
- Previous experience with GMP
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of ISO requirements
- Ability to work as part of a small management team
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
