Store/mobile Curtain Assistant

Kaths Curtains has been established for over 20 years and trading from the current shop in 9 West Tower Street, Carlisle in recent years. With thousands of fabric samples available.
Kaths Curtains has one of the most extensive ranges to choose from in the North of England.
We are now recruiting for a **Store/Mobile Curtain Assistant** to join the team in **Carlisle**. **This is a permanent position, with an immediate start date.**
**Daily duties will include the following**:
- Serving customers in polite and professional manner
- Visiting customers homes using the company van to measure and fit curtains & blinds
- Helping in the work room with hand sewing as well as other tasks
- Compliance safety standards at all times
- Working safely around machinery (sewing machines)
- Answering the shop telephone
**As a person you will require the following qualities**:
- Experience in hand sewing and sewing machines. (preferred but not essential)
- Valid and clean driving license
- Good communication skills, with a good level of spoken English
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be flexible with shifts to help provide cover during holidays and sickness
- Ability to work well in a team
- Enthusiastic and hardworking
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
