**Technical Sales Engineer**

My client is a leader in their field of expertise, producing capital equipment for leading manufacturers within aviation. As Technical Sales Engineer the main objectives of this role will be to drive sales growth in line with the company strategy within keysectors. This will include nurturing and developing existing accounts, and key contact relationships, to optimise potential sales - through understanding their current and future requirements.
**Technical Sales Engineer**
- Increase sales in assigned sector and accounts
- Cross selling across the entire product and services portfolio
- Intercompany product and services sales where applicable / possible
- Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets
- Negotiation of pricing and contractual terms, ensuring optimum margins are achieved
- Working closely with Engineering and Estimation teams to produce comprehensive and compelling proposal/quotation documents
- Proactively identify and cultivate new business prospects with new clients and existing
- Be able to describe in detail the benefits and distinct competitive advantages that the company can offer in comparison to competitors
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers
- Establish and execute sector/account/territory sales plan, based on prospecting, deal progression and closing initiatives
- Establish new lead generation initiatives by using, social media; literature; and customer seminars/events
- Create and implement clear installed base contact plan
- Identify sector/account/territory specific marketing initiatives, including exhibitions, roadshows, seminars etc
- Support the development of sales & marketing strategy

**Technical Sales Engineer**
**Essential Qualifications/ Skills**:

- HND or equivalent in engineering
- Sales background with proven experience, including creation and delivery of customer specific value proposals
- Able to initiate, progress, and close new business through key account management and senior level relationship building
- Ability to sell in Tier 1 organisations, and through second and third level supply chain companies.
- Good sales, business development, and marketing background
- Strong commercial and technical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to sell across a wide portfolio of services

**Technical Sales Engineer**
**Desired Qualifications/ Skills**:

- Engineering degree
- Formal Sales Training
- In-depth knowledge and working experience of the Oil & Gas: General Engineering and Aerospace & Defence sectors
- Experience using a CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)
