**Electronic Components Buyer**

We are seeking an Electronic Components Buyer with experience of purchasing electronic components and sub-assemblies to join our team in Hertford.

Working with the Procurement and Materials Manager, the main tasks are as follows:

- Raise purchase orders on relevant vendors based on demand produced by the MRP system and non-production materials when requested
- Negotiate and achieve costs savings, increased credit terms and improved carriage rates from all vendors where possible
- Assist with the implementation of policies for the management of stock including consignment stock agreements, supplier rebates and obsolescence
- Assist with the selection and auditing of approved vendors
- Maintain vendor relationships and attend meetings as required
- Update and maintain the MRP system with accurate cost prices, lead times and other vendor information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a purchasing capacity within the electronics manufacturing sector
- Strong IT skills including MRP systems (Epicor an advantage) and MS Office
