**IT Solutions Architect**

**Farnborough - Some remote**

**£650 per day Umbrella**

**3 months contract initially and likely to be extended**

**(SC Essential)**

My client is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Solution Architect is to support business change during the full life cycle of a service, working with IT colleagues and the wider business to understand scope and needs. Provides High Level Solutionsfor IT services based on approved policies and roadmaps, including oversight and technical assurance for services during delivery.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Work with Business Analysts to ensure that the Business Requirements and processes of a Service are documented, ensuring alignment during Solution development and into Production.
- Strong security focus is required for all solutions.
- Provide trusted consultation to company and its subsidiaries, in the service development initiatives for defining or shaping business processes and functions, as well as researching, and identifying emerging technologies that meet business needs and requirements.

**Key Capabilities/Knowledge**:

- Uses appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces (UML), to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas including the detailed component specifications and translates theseinto Solutions for implementation using building block methodology.
- Supports business change programmes in the preparation of scoping, transformation, strategies, policies & standards, cooperating with business assurance and project staff to ensure End-2-End delivery of a project.
- Takes the time and responsibility to understand client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolutions, performing Risk and Gap analysis as necessary to identify, evaluate and recommends options. Collaborates with stakeholdergroups in seeking to fully address client needs by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited.
- Can articulate clearly between the business and technical views presenting the right information for the audience.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Preferably Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
- At least 2+ years' experience at building IT solutions
- Experience in building secure solutions for IT environments.
- Relevant domain level certification such as TOGAF, DODAF, CCDP / CCIE, MCSE, OSCP, LPIC-3 etc. or equivalent providing evidence of knowledge and capabilities.
- Minimum of SC security clearance will be required, capability to achieve DV is desirable.
