**JOB SUMMARY**:
We are looking for a Supervisor for Linc’s Charity Shop on Bath Road, Cheltenham. The shop has achieved record sales in the last year and so we are expanding our retail offer by opening another shop just off the High Street in Cheltenham’s town centre, so there couldn’t be a better time to join us.

Linc is a local charity with a prominent profile but in its 25 th anniversary year has ambitious plans to expand. We work tirelessly to support blood cancer patients and their families, receiving treatment

across Gloucestershire Hospitals by providing emotional and financial support. We also fund clinical trial nurses who work with blood cancer patients who support them through trials that could benefit them further.

This in turn provides learnings and information which change patient outcomes nationally and internationally in the future. For a small charity, Linc makes a huge impact

One of the ways we raise money for the charity to provide its vital support, is through our charity shops. This role would be responsible for assisting the shop manager in the day to day running of the shop, ensuring a positive working environment for staff and volunteers while maximising sales and customer experience. This role would sometimes involve independently running the shop when other team members are off.

**You will**:
Provide leadership direction to a team of volunteers ensuring the operational performance and customer service standards of the shop remain high.

Optimise sales of donated stock and maintain the appearance ofthe shop within organisational brand and identity guidelines.

Manage donations and recycling schemes to ensure the best useof space within the shop.

Find and recognising the value of donated items.

Ensure stock is being rotated to maximise sales.

Ensure that all financial controls and health and safety procedures are followed to create a secure and safe environment.

Assist in the training of volunteers and staff when needed.

Promote a strong working environment to increase efficiency and job satisfaction of staff and volunteers.

Actively promote Gift Aid to our customers and process it in accordance with our guidelines.

Deputise when required.

Look at ways to expand our e-commerce offer across social media and buying and selling sites.

**You will bring**:
Experience of working and managing in a retail environment, desirably Charity Shop experience.

Good IT skills and ideally experience using EPOS.

The ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment

Excellent communication and people skills.

A passion for engaging with our customers and our local community.

The ability to work flexibly with some weekend work to suit the needs of the business.

Enthusiastically and passionately promote the activities of Linc.

Working as a united team with the staff and volunteers.

Always looking for opportunities to improve the way we work and maximise sales.

Being commercially aware, able to get the right stock, at the right time, in the right place to match demand.

Approaching your work in an energetic and motivating way which inspires the team around you.

Working collaboratively with the wider retail team.
