**What the Hiring Manager Says** Quilter has just started a journey to embrace the cloud, focusing on Microsoft Azure technologies this role is for an engineer with Azure Data Factory (ADF) experience to lead this journey from a data perspective. This work will involve greenfield development.

**About the Role** ADF Software Engineer

Contract type: Permanent

The role will structure and connect data across multiple disparate systems. You will be working with many other disciplines e.g. business analysts, product owners, Scrum masters, architects, project managers, testers to develop high quality robust systems.

You will work as part of a development team, contributing to the overall work in the team’s deliveries and be able to review code against published good practice and standards.

You will ideally have a background in Azure Data Factory and data engineering. You are very familiar with Azure technologies, ETL processes and SQL.

Key Skills and Experience
- SQL 2012-2019 / Azure SQL DB
- SSIS & Azure Data Factory
- GitHub
- Self-starter - lead with intent in order to get projects delivered
- Strong T-SQL skills. Confident with advanced functions and complex datasets from transactional and batch sources.
- Understanding of data flows and lineage and able to implement these using SSIS/ADF ETL tools
- Strong analytical skills - Analysing financial data, models etc.
- Test Automation of ADF pipelines
- DevOps build / release pipelines
- Ability to work in a cross functional team
- Ability to document solutions and architectures

Useful Skills and Experience
- Azure GCP Data Foundational, Associate or Professional level Certifications
