**ELEC BIAS MAINTENANCE ENGINEER**

FOOD PRODUCTION INDUSTRY

WIGAN AREA

4on4off 7-7 (2 days 2 nights)

£42,400+ Training, Pension and Holidays

Due to an increase in customer demand in our clients business, they are now recruiting for an Elec Bias Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team in the Wigan Area on a 4on4off based position.

**Role Description**
- Provide hands-on maintenance competence, equipment knowledge, analysis of equipment performance and strong communication skill.
- Execute hands-on planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards, ensuring safe working always.
- Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities that you undertake - properly risk assessed.
- Coach, train and give understanding to production colleagues to achieve continual improvements in equipment knowledge/performance.
- Act with integrity always to build a culture of professional engineering and proactive equipment-focussed continuous improvement.
- Ensuring that both chronic and repeat downtime events are rigorously reviewed
- Ensure that the site is always ready for internal and external food safety audits
- Ensure department KPIs and targets are delivered on time and in full.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Time served apprenticeship (preferred)
- Technical qualifications and competence in mechanical/electrical at a minimum NVQ Level 3
- BTEC Engineering certificate/equivalent qualification
- Broad Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical & PLC/Inverter Assets
- Skills and capability to logically diagnose and fault find on a variety of equipment/situations
- Experience of risk assessing maintenance activity and controlling safe working practices
- Strong evidence of good interpersonal, communications and customer engagement skills
- Ability to engage positively with production to ensure equipment good information exchange of equipment issues and best practice
