**Brief Description**:
Provide an efficient and effective general administrative, technical and analytical service to the lead manager and their team.

**About the role (External)**:
**Key Accountabilities**

1. Carry out upkeep and review of team publications, data, records, logs, files, instructions etc. as required.

2. Locate, collate and distribute structures data, records, and other asset information as required.

3. Manipulate raw data from a variety of sources to produce meaningful information and management reports.

4. Analyse and present data to support informed decision making by members of the Structures Team.

5. Provide technical and administrative support to the Route Engineer (Structures) Team.

6. Assist with the procurement and purchasing of goods

**Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications**

Essential
- Knowledge of relevant technical function and activities
- Good numeracy & data analytical skills, ability to identify and understand the significance of data trends / outliers
- Attention to detail & thoroughness in identifying and resolving errors
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Methodical organisation skills
- Good time management and task prioritisation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative where appropriate
- Ability to use MS Excel data analysis & reporting functionality with desire to develop skills to an advanced level of data collation & analysis
- IT skills, including effective use of MS Outlook and MS Word
- Ability to identify errors or waste in existing processes; ability to draft & contribute to procedures, to achieve increased efficiency and effectiveness
- Ability to perform to a high standard in a time constrained environment
- Willingness and ability to learn and expand own skills & knowledge

Desirable
- Knowledge of operational railway environment
- Knowledge of other functional disciplines
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to use advanced Excel data functionality, MS Access, PowerBI

**Salary**: Circa £20,000
