Do you want to help families give their children the best start in life?

We are looking for someone passionate about family life and improving quality of experience in the early years, to provide one-to-one support to families with young children across Oldham, Stockport & Tameside (full-time) or Bolton (part-time)

**As a family support charity, we provide support and flexibility to our employees too - all our staff are parents themselves and we work hard to help you manage a great work/family balance.**

Home-Start HOST works across several boroughs, supporting families with young children who may be facing additional challenges, such as mental or physical health issues, financial worries, or having young children with additional needs.

You will be working with families to support and empower parents to make positive changes and cope with the challenges of raising a young family. We know how hard parenting can be, and how life can sometimes make it seem impossible to achieve a 'happy family'. We believe all parents want the best for their children, and you'll support parents in a non-judgemental way to help them give their children the best start in life.

You will be providing targeted support to families, before we match them with a volunteer for longer-term support. You'll work with the family's Coordinator to develop support according to their individual needs, and will support good safeguarding practice according to HOST policies. You'll help families to access existing support networks, build community links and become more independent.

As you will be supporting families in their own homes and community venues, you will need your own transport and to be able to travel to all areas covered by the post.
