**The Role**

We are looking for a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our Finance team based in Padiham (BB12). This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has previous experience of accounting principles and is now looking to take that next step in their career. We pride ourselves with on the job training and can also offer study support for AAT/CIMA/ACCA.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:

- Daily cash book posting and bank reconciliation.
- Purchase ledger Invoice entry, supplier statement reconcilliation, prepare weekly payment runs & resolving supplier queries.
- Assist with Sales ledger, credit control and debtor queries.
- Monthly P&L preparation and interrogation.
- Month-end duties including stock/WIP analysis, fixed assets, journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- Ensure that all financial controls are in place and making sure all accounts are audit proof.
- Support month end closure by ensuring correct cut offs are observed / implemented including Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns.
- Invoice Discounting facility management (Full training provided)
- Support of the annual accounts audit.
- Provide support to Weekly/Monthly Payroll.
- Liaising with other business departments and supporting KPI analysis.
- Any Ad Hoc financial duties.
- Minimum of 2 years previous finance experience - Essential
- AAT qualification/s - Preferred but not essential
- Experience of Invoice discounting would be preferred but not essential as full training provided.
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc)
- High attention to detail, reliable and career focused.
- Flexible approach, highly organised and effective time management skills.
- Can do attitude with the ability to generate and implement new ideas and processes.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently with a proactive approach.
- Ability to follow company policies.
- Excellent communication skills.

Full-time hours: 37.5 per week
Monday to Friday, flexible to suit between 8:30am & 5:30pm

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
