Assembly Operative

We are delighted to be able to offer this unique opportunity to join our client based in Houghton -Le-Spring, who is looking for a part-time assembly operative to work on a temporary to permanent basis.
Hours could also be increased if an individual decided they need more hours in future due to changes in their circumstances.
We are looking to appoint a reliable, well organised individual. Who has a keen eye for detail and is fastidious about quality to assemble a high end automotive product. There is already a small close knit team in place who are ready to welcome a new memberto develop in their expanding business. There is a clear path for individuals who have a passion for the business and show keen interest in developing with them.
**DBS Check will be required for the sucessful applicant.**
Duties of the role;
- Assembling electrical units
- Using soldering irons to connect wires
- Making up orders to customer specifications
- Quality checking products
- Picking parts from the warehouse
- Adhere company labels to products
- Packaging orders ready to be dispatched for daily collections
- Working with the design team to help assemble new prototypes
- Some manual handling is required in this role
Preferred/essential experience
- Previous experience in electrical assembly would be advantageous
- A keen eye for detail
- Accuracy
- Being organised would be a desirable trait
- Manual dexterity
- Experience in working to diagrams or patterns
- Previous use of small hand tools may be of benefit but is not essential
