**Cotteswold Dairy** have an exciting opportunity for a **Milk Planning Officer** to join our team. This role will suit an ambitious individual who wants to be a key member of our Production Team with a responsibility for driving output and improving efficiency. You will be working on a **full-time, permanent** **basis** and in return, you will receive a **competitive salary plus benefits.**

**Working Hours**:
40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday.

You will be required to work shifts. The shifts will be from 0600 - 1400 for the early shift and the late shift will run from 1200 - 2000, however times are only approximate and a large degree of flexibility is required. The post holder will also be expected to work a late shift every other Saturday. The shift pattern also requires a level of flexibility to match the needs of the business, an example for the role is as follows:

- Week 1: Four early shifts, one day off, one late shift on a Saturday
- Week 2: Five late shifts (Monday-Friday)

**The Milk Planning Officer role**:
**Responsibilities as our Milk Planning Officer**:

- Work closely with the production and technical teams to accurately forecast daily milk and cream volume input requirement by grade to fulfil production, ensuring that volumes are carefully managed, reviewed, monitored and balanced where practicable and any quality problems are identified and addressed;
- Liaise with raw milk & cream suppliers to procure or dispose of additional milk and cream at the best possible prices, while providing updates and advice to senior management and the commercial team, and the likely financial implications;
- Develop strong and cohesive relationships with the Company’s existing and future direct farm suppliers.

**Essential**:

- Possess excellent planning and organisation skills with an eye for detail and an ability to identify areas for improvement
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels, able to encourage positive supplier relations and build strong engagement
- Trustworthy with a high work ethic and can self-motivate
- Excellent MS office skills
