The Recruitment Team in our Newbury and Bicester Headquarters, manage the recruitment for our Frontline Operations, Clinical Coordination Centres and Patient Transport Services across the Trust, as well as corporate and ad-hoc recruitment.
We are seeking a Recruitment Advisor to support our Patient Transport Service recruitment team.
Recruitment Advisors coordinate and oversee all aspects of the recruitment process for various roles across numerous workstreams and are responsible for the Recruitment Coordinators and Administrators, working together to deliver all recruitment requests for volume and ad hoc vacancies their portfolio.
You will need to be passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer service for both our internal and external stakeholders ensuring all trust policies and processes are followed and adhered to. You will also need to show a degree of flexibility and understanding of the demands placed on the team as a result of immediate and ever-changing priorities. The ability to adapt and be flexible is vital in this role, as is confidence to deal with all levels of management both inside and outside the Trust, up to director level, challenging and questioning where appropriate.
This role includes supporting events and assessment centres with a requirement for occasional weekend working.
The ideal person will be someone who is process driven - but also sees the bigger picture and understands the benefits of improving processes and looking for future potential improvements. They will enjoy showing people how to complete tasks and processes and will be aware of the different ways that people learn and be able to dynamically adapt their style to meet the needs of the person they are working with.
**The ideal person will**:
- Have a CIPD qualification and/or significant experience in recruitment or HR;
- Have worked with systems such as Trac, NHS Jobs, ESR and e-form technology;
- Have significant experience of recruitment processes;
- Working knowledge of online job boards;
- Have experience of training and coaching;
- Is able to work as a remote team;
- Have experience of implementing and improving processes;
- Have excellent attention to detail, reporting and audit experience;
- Have excellent customer service and Presentation skills face to face and online.
The position can be based in Bicester or Newbury and currently, the team are working a split office/home based arrangement so you must be comfortable working remotely in addition to office based. We are expecting to continue to work in a hybrid fashion, but there may be options available for those who prefer to work predominantly in the office.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of emergency, urgent care and non-emergency healthcare services, along with commercial logistics services.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Lead career and recruitment fairs/events; ensuring that appropriate events are attended and the necessary resources are available.
Provide specialist recruitment, selection and employment advice.
Be responsible for implementing/updating polices by theoretical knowledge for the recruitment team.
Develop, update and provide training/coaching for staff and new employees within the team.
Deliver specialist training courses e.g. Recruitment Interview Skills, and HR induction presentation to new employees.
Audit the recruitment team’s work to improve and maintain the quality of work.
Be recruitment systems expert and support the team with queries, coaching and improving their usage of ESR, NHS Jobs, Omnidox and any other SCAS or externally provided systems.
Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive information e.g. provide evidence for Fraud team, investigations.
Monitor the recruitment work to ensure KPIs are met.
Ensure the team members are working towards to the Trust’s values and embedding these into their day to day work.
Oversee and produce audit reports and ensure any errors are addressed.
