**Do you look at the news and think it’s not quite for you?** Do you find your answers about the day’s biggest topics left unanswered? Or that the stories you care about aren’t being covered at all?

That’s why we’re looking for a **Content Editor** to aid us and the team to create compelling content aimed at engaging 25-34 year olds and giving them more of the news, sport, information and entertainment they are seeking.

We already reach more under 35s than any other commercial publisher, with 11miliion a month reading at least one of our titles, ranging from **mirror.co.uk** through to our market-leading regional news titles such as **Manchester Evening News, ChronicleLive and BelfastLive.**

**Key Responsibilities**
**What will the role involve?**
- Find, develop and edit stories from every area and community across the city
- Manage the newsroom to produce content which engages readers and reaches as many people as possible
- Publish to the highest possible digital standards, including optimising for SEO, social media and registration
- Manage home pages and audience engagement channels, including social platforms
- Develop members of the team, supporting them to reach their full potential
- Help build signed in communities and grow our loyal readership, finding new audiences in London and beyond

**Who are we looking for?**
- ** NCTJ or equivalent journalism degree and knowledge of media law**:

- Have experience in a digital newsroom
- Someone who puts people at the heart of every story
- Someone who wants to help reporters to produce brilliant content
- Some social media and SEO experience would be advantageous
