**Overview**

We are seeking compassionate, professional, and experienced Support Workers to join our team in Aberdeen.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide tailored support to individuals with complex care needs and mental health conditions.
- Manage challenging behaviours with a calm, empathetic approach, while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the individual.
- Promote independence and improve quality of life by encouraging participation in activities and routines.
- Assist with medication administration, and daily living tasks in accordance with people’s care plans.
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times while building trusting relationships with service users.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other support workers to deliver coordinated care.
- Keep detailed and accurate records, including care plans, incident reports, and daily notes.
- Attend regular training sessions and stay updated on best practices in mental health and care sector standards.

**Essential Requirements**:
Experience working with individuals who have mental health challenges and/or display high-risk behaviour.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and provide care in a respectful and dignified manner.

A calm and patient demeanour with strong problem-solving skills.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and waking nights.

Understanding of safeguarding, risk assessments, and health and safety protocols.

Relevant qualifications in health and social care or equivalent experience in the care sector.

**Desirable**:

- SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
- Experience in complex care environments, including mental health and behavioural support services.
- Full UK driving licence.
