RBS UK Ltd has its insulation factory and central teams located in King’s Lynn.

**Purpose of Role**

This role adds value by safely and reliably operating the Ravago Building Solutions (RBS) King’s Lynn plant within a team of employees and contractors. Directly completes both assigned and self
- identified tasks. Uses problem solving skills to resolve plant problems and identify improvements that benefit customers and the RBS business.

**Key Responsibilities and Expectations**
- Monitors plant performance and condition by physical inspection and by interpreting data from process automation information systems. Intervenes to optimise plant performance.
- Executes scheduled preventive maintenance and other tasks assigned to the shift team
- Employs troubleshooting and problem solving skills to resolve any safety, quality and reliability problems that may occur
- Identifies and records improvement opportunities that will benefit customers and/or plant performance
- Participates in improvement initiatives and projects. Directly executes small improvements.
- Assists the plant Shift Leader during an on or off-plant incident.
- Ensures that all work is carried out safely by issuing Safe Work Permits, as well as by direct observation and intervention
- May assume the responsibilities of Shift Leader when properly trained to do so, in cases where the Shift Leader is absent
- Offloads bulk and packaged raw materials
- Ensures an excellent standard of housekeeping in the work area

**Skills and Qualifications**
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Able to solve problems and implement solutions in a manufacturing environment

GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics. Fluent in spoken and written English

Higher level qualifications or apprenticeship in manufacturing-related skills is an advantage

The ability to work effectively in a diverse team is essential

Will receive training to obtain a fork lift truck licence if not already qualified

**Hiring Information**
This role reports to the Plant Manager, RBS King’s Lynn. This role is a 12 months fixed term contract initially but could be permanent in the future, but this is not guaranteed.

**Working Hours**

This is a 24/7 shift-based role with a continuous rotating shift pattern.

Occasional cover for employee absences or in case of exceptional demand is expected

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £32,400.00 per year
