We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Maintenance Operative for a permanent position at our client based in Dorking, Surrey.

As a Maintenance and Stores Operative you will be responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of property structures and facility equipment using a variety of power tools and hand tools. You will be considered the prime caretaker of thethree sites based in Dorking. You will undertake all general and preventive maintenance operations that the facility requires as part of the maintenance program which are to be performed on a timely basis. An ability to respond to work orders, troubleshoot,repair, replace, or install various vital systems is essential. These include plumbing systems, alarm systems, and electrical equipment.

**Duties and Responsibilities of the Post**
- Plan and execute the maintenance of facility installations such as air conditioning, refrigeration, minor plumbing repairs, and ventilation i.e., fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns
- Troubleshoot minor machinery and detect root causes of malfunctions.
- Identifying the scope of work and timescales with departments and managers.
- Coordinate with external contractors when required.
- Installing appliances when required
- Installing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
- Fitting shelves, hanging pictures, and installing window locks
- Conducting safety audits
- Undertaking basic gardening
- Providing itemised quotes and invoices
- Bricklaying and Masonry
- Maintenance cleaning
- Maintain records of all maintenance tasks performed in a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
- Survey all facilities under ownership for potential faults and repairs. Ensure all building systems are running at optimal efficiency and operational capacity.

Our client offers 20 hours a week and is extremely flexible with these working hours. They also offer a Friday informal lunch, summer and winter social events and a non-contributory health cash plan.
