Window Supply Company manufacture and supply UPVC windows and doors to trade. Established in March 2019, the company has quickly become one of the largest window and door fabricating companies in Scotland. The head office and manufacturing facility are based in Whitburn, West Lothian with trade counters in Aberdeen, Bellshill, Dundee, Livingston, Loanhead, Inverness and Kilmarnock in Scotland and Sheffield, Manchester and Lincoln in England. The company prides itself on delivering the most advanced and energy efficient windows in the uPVC market alongside exceptional service. Due to ambitious and exciting growth plans, the company has an exciting opportunity for a Factory Supervisor with manufacturing experience to join the team at our busy factory in Whitburn.
**Requirements**:
- Possess strong IT skills (Microsoft packages)
- Possess strong communication skills (both verbally and written) at all levels to actively listen to and clearly verbalise ideas and action plans
- Excellent organisational skills to plan production schedules and ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment
- Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process and take appropriate action
- Good time-management skills to minimise downtime and ensure the team works efficiently
- The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly
- Make recommendations about ways to improve employee efficiency and reduce costs
- A firm understanding of health and safety regulations
- Strong organizational and leadership skills٫ together with a results-driven approach
- Team Building qualities
- Advantageous to have 5S/Lean experience
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Informing a production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices
- Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance
- Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations
- Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow
- Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment
- Ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly
- Ensure probationary reviews for new starts are completed on time
- Have skillset to conduct formal processes in line with Company Policies.
- Complete Return to Work Interviews after all production staff absences
- Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates
- Any other adhoc duties as directed by Management.
Great Shift times:
Monday -Thursday 7.00am - 4.15pm 2 breaks totaling 45 minutes
Friday 7.00am - 1.30pm 1 break totaling 30 minutes
