**Position Summary**:
Pipe Fitter have the function to lead by example, reporting directly to the Shift Manager. To meet the team objectives and business needs. Pipe Fitter to highlighting any areas of concern or opportunities to the Shift Manager. Pipe Fitter to ensure that all company standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to and that any queries in this regard are reported to the Shift Manager so they can be dealt with effectively.
**Duties And Responsibilities**:
ESSENTIAL
- Pipe Fitter will ensure that they adhere to all Oceaneering’s safety policies & procedures, inclusive of Oceaneering’s Lifesaving rules. Safe Start behaviors will be demonstrated by the Pipe Fitter and encouraged to the whole team daily. Pipe Fitter will attend Toolbox Talks daily and ensure any risk assessment is read, understood & signed before commencing any work activity.
- Pipe Fitter must take ownership of their wellbeing, behaviors and performance and will ensure any change to the process has been covered through the TBT, JSEA, Training & competency programs.
- Pipe Fitter will assist in any incident investigation on the process by ensuring that the area is secure to prevent a repeat injury. HS0020 Incident Management Level 3 procedure will be followed effectively and expediently and will include detailed information using the who, where, why, what, when method.
- Pipe Fitter will demonstrate awareness and take accountability of daily performance targets and will be accountable for achieving them and highlighting any issues that may prevent to the Shift Manager.
- Pipe Fitter will take full ownership of the dedicated of the delegated task to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Pipe Fitter will take ownership in highlighting to other functions (maintenance, QA, Process Engineering) any issues that will cost downtime.
- Pipe Fitter will encourage their teams to highlight any improvement areas to improve production schedules.
- Pipe Fitter will take accountability to ensure all checks are completed prior to start up using the clean sweep and / or Preprocess Audit technique to assure product quality.
- Pipe Fitter will highlight and help drive with the help of Process Engineering & Manufacturing management any improvements to help product quality.
- Any maintenance issues (break downs, preventive maintenance) will be reported by the Pipe Fitter directly to maintenance, then inform the Shift Manager who will be accountable to manage thorough and followed up on effectively also.
- Pipe Fitter will be accountable to ensure they complete correctly all data within the production package. Pipe Fitter will also be accountable to ensure any special instructions within the production package have been communicated to them and understood before starting the task.
- Pipe Fitter will take accountability to ensure good documentation practice.
- Pipe Fitter will take accountability and ensure the Production inspection plan is adhered to and ensure they are aware of any client witness or hold points.
- Pipe Fitter will ensure they assists fully with any QA nonconformance investigations to ensure correct problem statements are recorded and such matters dealt with expediently.
- Positive attitude and constructive approach to work including flexibility to work alternative hours and/or shift rotations as and when reasonably required. where possible. Adequate notice will be provided but dependent upon business needs, customer requirements and any constraints applying
- Able to effectively follow guidelines set out by Manufacturing management.
- Able to both works effectively as part of a team and, where required, work using their own initiative.
- Able to engage effectively with other colleagues and stakeholders including other departments and third parties as/when required to meet job requirements.
- Able to consistently learn and develop both to meet or exceed the expectations of the current role and embrace future career opportunities within the company when appropriate.
- Effectively work as part of a team of personnel conducting a process within Production safely, on time and to customer specification with no quality defects. To plan and prepare for the process by taking full process ownership, accountability and continual improvement.
