Musselburgh, United Kingdom Edge Group Scotland Limited Full time

At Edge Group Scotland, we’re passionate about creating meaningful, person-centred support for young autistic adults and those with additional support needs (ASN). We believe that strong values, enthusiasm, and a team-focused mindset matter just as much as experience.

Whether you're already experienced in social care or have transferable skills and a desire to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

**Why Join Us?**
- Outdoor & Active Focus: Our day services include group-based and outdoor activities. If you’re passionate about the outdoors, learning through nature, and helping others, this is the role for you.

- Have a genuine passion for outdoor learning and activities. Holding outdoor or watersports certifications (e.g., lifeguarding, kayaking, or hiking) is essential.
- Possess a clean and current driving licence (essential).
- Are team players, enthusiastic, and have a strong work ethic.
- Have a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Possess excellent IT skills across multiple software platforms.
- Have additional skills in outdoor activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), surfing, skiing, climbing, or bushcraft.

**What Does the Role Involve?**

**As a Support Worker, you’ll**:

- Assist autistic and ASN young people in a group setting to achieve their personal goals and develop independence.
- Work collaboratively with clients to create and follow support plans.
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, and professionals.
- Promote personal independence and encourage positive risk-taking.
- Stay calm and solution-focused under pressure.
- Foster a welcoming, person-centred environment, listening with empathy and without judgment.
- Work alongside senior members of the team, assessing and contributing to MAPS meetings and case conferences.

**What We Offer Staff**:

- A comprehensive induction and training programme.
- Opportunities for ongoing professional development, including SVQ2 and SVQ3 qualifications in Health & Social Care (after a qualifying period).
- The Real Living Wage for all employees.
- 5.6 weeks of annual leave.
- An Employee Assistance Programme, offering 1:1 support for personal and professional wellbeing.
- A workplace culture that values humour, resilience, and flexibility.

**Role Requirements**:

- **Essential**:

- A clean driving licence.
- Comfortable with standard, multiple IT systems.
- Outdoor sports certifications, such as lifeguard training, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), climbing, or bushcraft skills.
