Insulation Technician

**Insulation Technician** required to join a specialist manufacturer of precision fabrication and thermal insulation solutions on a permanent basis based in Aylesbury, with a competitive salary range paying for experience and skillset.

Our client is an ever-expanding manufacturer of components supporting a range of industries including motorsport, aerospace, marine, medical and automotive to name a few They specialise in precision fabrication and thermal insulation solutions both designingand manufacturing components such as exhaust systems, intricate pipework, radiators and more.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an **Insulation Technician** to join their team of specialists within a varied role based in Aylesbury. The role is offered on a permanent basis with a quality driven focus on salaries in order to attractand retain the very best talent in the industry.

The successful **Insulation Technician**will be required to assemble insulation for various materials and parts in order to retain heat to suit the specific requirements. Their products include exhaust systems, radiators and associated pipeworkand charge coolers.

**THE IDEAL INSULATION TECHNICIAN**:

- Working to tight tolerances, insulate new or existing parts either directly or by the creation of a removable shield, using thermally insulating materials and an encapsulation skin of thin gauge metallic sheet. (0.1mm)
- Preparing materials for the team, including cutting by hand or with a machine, forming materials using appropriate workshop machinery such as fly press, rollers, hydraulic press, air tools and hand tools, spot welders
- Cutting, dressing and trimming thin sheet metalwork to use on a variety of parts
- Cutting, trimming and wrapping of insulation material onto various parts/assemblies.
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to understand technical drawings (although thorough training will be provided)
- Creative and practical minded
- Good hand/eye co-ordination, ability to think in 3D
- Ability to show initiative
- Deadline conscious/driven
- Be confident using a range of hand tools
- Have knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H and environmental procedures
- Have a flexible attitude towards working hours as overtime may be required

**WORKING HOURS**:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday: 07.30am - 17.00pm

Flexibility to work Overtime - uplifted pay rates apply.

**PAY**:
Quality focussed salary banding paid based on individual skillset and experience, in the region of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
